  • Specialist Clinician (Nelson)

    Stop is looking for a Specialist Clinician to work with children and adolescents in Nelson. The role will be 32 hours per week.

    Are you a passionate about young people through complex emotional and behavioural challenges?

    Stop is looking for a skilled Specialist Clinician to work with children and adolescents displaying concerning or harmful sexualised behaviour. Join a values driven team making a real difference across Te Waipounamu.

    What you'll do

    · Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing and implementing tailored intervention plans

    · Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy

    · Collaborating with whanau, schools and other professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to care

    · Maintaining thorough client records and participating in clinical review processes

    What you bring

    · Recognised qualification in psychology, counselling, social work or a related mental health discipline and registration (e.g. NZPB, NZAC)

    · Experience working with adolescent and children in a clinical setting, ideally in the area of concerning and harmful sexualised behaviour

    · Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding

    · Strong therapeutic skills and cultural competence
